Keepin' it simple

Today's lunch was a quick 'n' easy ensemble of some basics in my kitchen: rice & gim from my cabinets, kimchi from my fridge, and homemade mandu from my freezer. It's sooo nice to have these items in-stock for those days when you don't have much time, haven't grocery-shopped in a while, or when you don't want to brace the cold and go to a restaurant.


Simple, basic, wholesome, and good. My rice is a mix of brown and barley rice, and I also threw in some black-eyed peas in the rice cooker for a lil' extra nutrition. I swear, if I were stranded on an island, I'd be happy with just 3 foods: rice, kimchi, and gim. The mandu would just be an extra treat. :)
